- In 1998, S & S realized the need for optimizing processes to effciently produce higher volume orders. We invested in our first CNC Machinging Center. Since then, we have experience very rapid growth, and have replaced our first machine with 17 CNC Machining Centers, including 9 vertical machining centers, 1 500mm horizontal machining center, 1 swiss lathe with bar feed, numerous CNC turning centers with bar feed, and 2 seven axis mill/turn centers. The combination of new state of the art machines coupled with highly skilled work force enable S & S to consistently produce very close tolerance complex parts.
Adding the CNC department has given us the versatility to efficiently run larger lot sizes, yet we maintain an excellent reputation for our ability to run one and two piece type "specials" and prototypes. Prototype and test part samples are just one way we assist our customer base in meeting their design and functionality needs. A large part of our success is indicative of the efforts and response time we consistantly demonstrate in order to meet our customers special needs.
